Over 200 years old, the hotel is a traditional village inn situated in the centre of the lovely village of Doune. It boasts 4 bedrooms (2 currently en suite) with a comfortable guest lounge and a bunkhouse sleeping 10 which is ideal for walkers and groups.
A lively public bar serves local beers and bar snacks and our newly refurbished Stewart restaurant offers both Scottish cuisine and international dishes. The chef has over 25 years catering experience which is evident in the innovative and well received dishes on offer. Our multi purpose Quaich room can accommodate meetings, functions and events and opens onto our sun trap patio area. Our aim is to provide good quality comfortable surroundings which effectively marry traditional service and standards with up to the minute facilities.
Being ideally situated one hour from both Glasgow and Edinburgh, half an hour from Stirling and the Highland mountains, and of course for all you Monty Python fans, the hotel is a five minute walk to the castle where the Holy Grail was shot.
